week ten

so for dinner one night i had an Eggo Waffle and some canned cheese dip and chips. apparently anything that is quick and easy to make and doesn't require boiling water, waiting for an oven to pre-heat, and such is just the right meal. i have zero to no patience when i cook anymore. where is the husband when i need him?

this week we made it "facebook official" and so the rest of the world knows. it was so fun to see everyone's reactions, and all those notifications come in. i'm glad to let the cat out of the bag, but then again i'm not sure if i'm ready to talk pregnancy stuff 24/7 with people. i have stopped reading my daily pregnancy app announcements and those pregnancy books have been shoved into a corner of my night stand. for one reason, i don't want to freak myself out more then i really need to, and two do i really need to know all of that information, because it's going to happen whether i like it or not. i'd rather just not know and let it all happen.

i have also been working my other part-time job as well. they need the extra help and i could use the extra cash to start stock-piling on diapers and such. and besides target has a lot of fun/cheap toys to coupon this week too. :) like this guy i scored for $4 and this one i'm hoping to get for $17. too early to stock up on  the baby's Christmas presents?

this weekend i had to photograph my last wedding of the year, and thankfully for a small moment during the bridal party photographs, the sun came out. it was the perfect moment i needed to get the bride and groom photos i was looking for. and you'll never know who will be at the reception. there was a gentleman who's girlfriend was a co-worker of the bride. he came up to me as i was photographing guest dancing with an L-series (high end professional) tilt-shift lens for me to play around with. i was thrilled and then he came up to me again and let me borrow one of his L-series wide-angle lens to photograph with too. these are $2,000 (lens a piece) and i was in heaven playing with them. i could have photographed guest dancing all night long. and my little $400 lens has nothing on them. someday i'll get there. hopefully. besides i've only been doing it for less than a year, and this guy has done it for over 35 years commercially. mind blown.

  1. I know the feeling of overwhelming baby info. That was me about nursing. I was sooo concerned i wasn't going to get it, or i was going to forget how long the milk is good for, blah blah blah... i've read books, went to classes, talked to other moms.. and once it finally came time, everything went out the window and i found my own flow. No need to stress just yet, time is on your side, and good thing you have tones left! I can't get over how cute and obedient Harlee is in all of these pictures!

  4. I only read one part of "The Baby Whisperer" & it was a section on routine schedule. I did refer to it again once Cash was born. I can explain at a later date if you are interested. :) That's a steal for the Little People Farm! You go girl!

  5. I never read any baby books. I have them, just never read them!!! I was like you and just took everything as it came. If I had questions I got them answered when they came up. No need to stress about things that may not ever happen!! I loved my little weekly updates about where baby is developmentally though. Ill have to drop off a yummy dinner sometime ;)

  6. I haven't looked at What to Expect since I got pregnant and I have no plans to look at it in the future. It freaked me out enough before hand and there's no need to freak me out more!

  7. Such a cute photo. I've never played around with a tilt-shift lens, so fun. And don't worry about not reading all the books - sometimes too much information can make you crazy.
