a halloween reminisce

2012: the husband was gone for Army training that month, so i went out with the girls. even helped my friend on the left make her costume.
this year i was in the best shape of my life, so full of confidence, in my daisy duke outfit.
2011: for some reason i don't think the husband and i actually dressed up this year. but i know we went all out at my work.  candy land!
gosh i miss this department and these ladies. so much fun. i'm gloppy, (the brown dude) if it's hard to tell. ha ha.
2010: for this year at work, they were remodeling our department and we were living in a trailer for many many months.
well we had the bright idea to be "trailer trash" and you bet we won again for our company's halloween competition.
2010: the husband was finishing up his last year at college, and i went to visit every weekend, including halloween.
i took an 80's prom dress and turned it into some western saloon girl. loved it!
 he went as "rambo"
2009: last year to celebrate halloween at college and you bet i made my way down to good old UW Madison and had a fantastic time with a good friend. even though it was so cold to wait in line for any of the bars downtown, we still had a great time. no costume, just a fancy dress and heels for this girl.
2008: this is the year i decided to join the colliegite soccer team, having never played anything since elementary school.
i was definitely still on the soccer kick yet. so creative, i know...
2007: it's always fun to go celebrate halloween at a different college, and so after watching my sister run at the high school state cross country meet, i went and partied it up with the UW Stevens Point Cross Country team. it was such a blast! of course, i was a "harley girl" ha ha!

i realized i did not have any skimpy outfits through my college years, probably because i was too poor to afford any new costumes and needed the money for the adult concoctions and gas for the good ol' Oldsmobile. ha ha.

this year, i won't be able to enjoy in some adult beverages, and i'm sure i'll be tired by 9pm. still i'm going to try to enjoy it with some great friends, even if the husband again can't be here to celebrate together. hopefully one day. when our kid(s) are big enough to enjoy trick or treating.

  8. Love the trailer trash costumes! Steve and I dressed up like that one year too. We made him a mullet (although yours looks much more authentic than our dollar store weave), and I carried a baby doll and my Walmart bag purse. So fun! Love all of your pictures :)

  12. I love reminiscing on old Halloweens. I didn't dress up this year, we opted to stay in, hand out candy and watch classic Halloween movies like Hocus Pocus ;)
