why hello there little baby "bump"! where the heck did you come from? whether it's the massive amounts of junk food i've been eating for the past 8 weeks or so, or it may actually be the little 2 inch babe inside of me that is starting to show.
this week has been better than others, but then i have my moments, if i don't eat where i feel worse. but i can't complain too much. there was one night where i just didn't want to get off the couch and make myself any dinner. i mentioned to my husband just how great topper stixs sound, not thinking anything of it. well ten minutes later, there is a knock on my door and fresh steaming topper stixs for me to enjoy. ordered all the way from oklahoma. i was balling. no lie. he is fantastic, even if he is all the way down across the U.S. he knows me.
other than that, i've been keeping busing working extra time at my part-time job and picking up numerous photo shoots (even after most of the fall leaves have disappeared). i've been so grateful for the weeks to fly. thanksgiving will be here before i know it. i can not wait. a whole week with the husband, a lot of mexican food, chips and salsa, and more.
it has been an ongoing debate on whether or not will will find out the baby's gender. i am still on the fence, but honestly the more i go thrifting, the harder i'm realizing just how hard it is to find gender neutral stuff to stock up on. and part of me would love to get that cute little flower leggings or that adorable flannel button up. so slowing, i'm beginning to realize i may be taking the husband's side and caving. besides, we will hopefully be finding out right before christmas, and how perfect would that be? i'm still definitely on the fence about not letting anybody else know because honestly i'm not one to get the big baby items in a pink or blue. i wouldn't want that no matter what gender the babe may be. and i know some people can go a little more glitzy or overboard on the pink and blue things. so it may just be a secret my husband and i share until may.
but we shall see...
How sweet of him!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great photo! Harlee is such a good girl!
ReplyDeleteI agree. It really is tough to not find out the gender when you have stuff to buy.
That's the reason we found out the gender because gender neutral is hard to come by! I like your idea of secret keeping...even if it means the secret would be kept from me too! ;)
ReplyDeleteGender neutral clothes are very hard!!! But it's easy to find neutral big stuff. You know I don't like secrets but if it's what you decide then I will of course understand ;). I do promise to not go crazy on gender related stuff though! Mainly because I know what you like & what you don't :). Love the cute little bump.
ReplyDeleteYour husband is so sweet - how exciting that you get to spend a week with him soon! I love your bump pictures and how well your dog poses. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's what Jake's sister and her husband did- they found out the gender, but didn't tell anyone. They designed their nursery gender neutral so they wouldn't give anything away, too (it was green w/ brown accents).
ReplyDeleteHope I get to see you soon! I want to see that baby belly in person :)
What a sweet hubby you have!
ReplyDeleteI understand about the gender debate. I want to be surprised for our next baby (whenever that day comes), but my hubby disagrees. I also like your idea of just the two of you knowing. It is definitely a tough decision.
What a sweetheart your husband is!!
ReplyDeleteI could never not know, I'd go crazy. I like the idea of not telling the family though.
Husband of the year? I think yes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet hubby you have, Whit! Luke & I were the same way with shopping for Cash. Whether Cash was a boy or a girl we weren't going to go over the top purchasing all pink or blue. We knew that we wanted to have more children & it made sense to just purchase more gender neutral items.
ReplyDeleteYou are looking great!! And your husband is the sweetest!
ReplyDeleteThe way your pup is looking at you in this pic is adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThat is the sweetest thing EVER! What a good man!! We didn't find out either baby's gender until D-day. They wore gender neutral newborn clothes for MAYBE a month, but during that month they poop and puke on every outfit, so I was glad we didn't have anything too special or nice during that time! Either way it will be super special!
ReplyDeleteMajor props to your hubbs!!!! I'm with the husband I have to know weather it be a girl or boy. Such an exciting time for y'all!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou hubby is the best! :) Love these bump photos!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed you think you could keep the gender a secret if you knew! I never could! ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm finally catching up on your blog! You're always commenting on mine and I'm like aghh I need to get to my computer to read hers! Lol I can't comment or anything from my phone and with my little crazy running around it's hard to get to the computer sometimes ;) But I LOVE your little bump and your husband sounds so sweet! We did find out that Haley was a girl (at 15 weeks so my husband could find out before he deployed) but we still ended up getting LOTS of neutral stuff. I am not one for super girl pink stuff either!
