so this week was one of mini ups and downs too. the husband left for some more training, and so it's back to eating crap because he's not here to cook some finger-licking good meals. mac & cheese and chocolate cake it is.
i have the baby's hospital diaper bag packed and just a couple more items for me to purchase for myself, and my hospital bag will be ready to go too. call me crazy but it's just one less thing i have to worry about. i also sewed my burp cloths too, they turned out so cute! check instagram if you haven't yet. i tend to post a lot of my baby progress there.
i also have an updated "life binder" filled with all of the husband's deployment information, updated information and addresses, you name it. i'd rather be prepared with any and all information, then have to go searching around for it in the up-coming months.
one of my birthday presents (for baby of course) was a pair of bellybudz (http://www.bellybuds.com). my husband saw these on a Shark Tank episode and remembered them when we found out we were expecting. he recorded his voice reading the first part of the Lone Survivor book and sent it to me so that baby can recognize and listen to daddy's voice. the first time i put it on before bed, baby went a little crazy moving around. i think it was just startled because it was hearing such loud noises that it hadn't been before. i'm trying to make it a weekly thing before bedtime for baby.
last but not least, the day after my birthday i had another ultrasound appointment. apparently during our 20 week one, baby was measuring a little small, so they wanted to check up on it's progress. well they came back with the results and again baby is still measuring in the 9th percentile. which means they want me to see a fetal specialist to get a more intensive look to see if baby is just genetically smaller than normal or if my uterus has a growth restricting condition or something else. let's just hope for a small baby. that's all i want. a small. healthy. baby.
I hope everything turns out well in terms of growth! I'll be thinking of you! PS, is there a specific list you used to pack your bags? I've got until July, but I also like to be over prepared! And the life binder is the BEST when they deploy! Seriously, it saves me all the time when I'm like "uhhh what's that password??"
ReplyDeletePraying that everything is okay with baby! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that you're not as prego as originally thought? I know some ladies who had their due dates adjusted after the half way mark. And Lone Survivor? No Good Night, Moon?
ReplyDeletePraying for good results! My niece was measuring really small throughout my sister's pregnancy and when she dropped below 10%, she had to start seeing a doc more often. But she was born happy and healthy (and so tiny!) and had no problems at all. Hoping the same for you!!!
ReplyDeletePraying for that sweet little growing baby!

ReplyDeleteAaaaaaaaah! Look at you! You're so gorgeous and the little one is getting big! Also, Bellybuds sound like such a good idea :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be thinking of you and the baby! I'm hoping too that the baby is just small.
ReplyDeletePraying you are incubating a small little peanut!
ReplyDeleteJust found you, congrats on the pregnancy & sending the most positive thoughts your way!!!! XO

Aw, how sweet that your husband remembered the belly buds! What a great invention! I can't believe that came from Shark Tank! Love it :)
