Tough Mudder [Bound]

So sometimes my husband has some "bright ideas".  This one he has insisted on for a couple months now:

A TOUGH MUDDER.

If anyone has heard of them before, I don't know what possessed me to get myself all full of mud, crawl under barb wire, shock myself, freeze myself, wear-myself out...you get the point. Here's the website if you want to take a closer look, or even think about doing it yourself: here!

Or watch the video to get an even BETTER idea:

Some of the funds go towards the Wounded Warrior Project and I couldn't help by cave when the husband said we will do it together.

So we went to Target and started our "home gym" collection.

I really need to grow some arm muscles, if I have to be going over 12 foot walls, you name it.

So here's hoping we can train ourselves in just a couple months for this thing! Wish us luck!

  1. Ha, good luck! I think it's all nuts! Don't show this to my husband... he'd probably sign us both up and tell me the day before!

  3. The hubby and I did the Tough Mudder in 2011 in Austin. My husband signed us up just a few weeks before, and I had zero time to train. It was hard, but I finished! You can skip obstacles if you need to and all of your fellow "Mudders" are very helpful if you need a boost or leg up. You WILL get muddy, and I recommend wearing gloves and long pants (or risk scraping up your legs).

Here is my post on my Tough Mudder experience: http://mrsduh.blogspot.com/2011/01/mrs-duh-meets-mudder.html

Best of luck to you both! I think you will really enjoy it!

  4. Good luck! My husband wants me to sign up with him when it comes to town too, but there is just something about the shocking myself part that I can't get beyond. The mud part would be fun though! I hope the training goes well!
