Birthday Re-cap

Last weekend, the husband wanted to celebrate my birthday because we both work different shifts and wouldn't be able to see each other. We made our way up north a bit to do a little antique shopping and see movie. Found some awesome Packer gear, that apparently my husband just had to take a picture. Discount Double Check anybody? ;)

He had made reservations in town as well at Buca Di Beppo. When the hostess asked "Oh yes party of 10?" I was confused, and the look on my husband's face wasn't very pleasant.

Needless to say it was a surprise birthday dinner with some of my closest friends from around the area. They all held up their menus before we got to the table and yelled "Happy Birthday". The husband was very sneaky and I really appreciated the surprise. It was a nice night filled with pasta, laughs and good friends.

On my actual birthday (Tuesday) it was 52 degrees outside (IN WISCONSIN, in January!) The husband sent me this picture of Harlee, most of the snow melted around where she was playing and she was too scared to move. She was trapped. I couldn't help but laugh. :)

I unfortunately had to work, but during my lunch I took a trip to the local Goodwill and found some Target clearance beauties! Table napkins, a long table cloth, curtains and a table runner all for under $20.00 and still in their packages! Total steal.

That night I was just going to sit and relax with the pup. Watch our Tuesday night New Girl episode on TV and call it an early night. But needless to say the husband surprised me again and left work early that night. He made one of my FAVORITE dinners (hands-down). Steak, homemade mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits. Oh and don't forget the super-rich and delicious chocolate cake too! He is absolutely amazing! We cuddled on the couch the rest of the night and let me watch my pick of a movie, Burlesque. :)
