another birthday

another year has come and gone. as crazy as last year seemed, i know this year will be even more. so many things to look forward to, so many days of missing the husband ahead. but i can't forget how this will be my last year as just a "wife". unfortunately my glass wasn't filled with champagne this morning as much as i would have loved it to be. i am grateful for what lies ahead for our little family.

this year holds so many promises of new beginnings and times to be tested. but none-the-less will still be a miraculous year.

this morning i woke up, made myself a fruit smoothie (apparently i dreamt of one last night and woke up having to make myself one) and some perfectly cooked french toast. even though my husband makes the best brown sugar french toast, it was still great.

this afternoon, on my lunch break, i'll take myself over to the local thrift shop and find a couple items for me, but most likely i'll end up coming home with more baby clothes instead. always seems to happen.

then tonight i'm headed to dinner at a new restaurant with a dear friend i met through blogging. it will be a great end to the tonight catching up with her. this weekend i'll share my company with some of my dear friends. it's much needed and i'm so excited to see them all.
