week twenty one

so i have been really slacking on taking the bump update photos, call me lazy because that's what i have been feeling like for many many weeks now.

but i have been busy too, with photographing my first wedding of the year and also being in a dear friend's one this past weekend. not to mention the other photo sessions on the side. sitting at a computer all day at work, just doesn't seem as appealing to do the same when you get home from work too.

after my 20 week appointment with the midwives, i received a call from one of them letting me know they reviewed the ultrasound photos. "All seemed to be fine with baby" she stated, but then she lingered at the end. my heart started to sink, oh no what's going on? She said that the techs did see one thing, that baby is measuring a bit small compared to the average. So they want me to schedule another ultrasound in 4 weeks. I have it scheduled for the day after my birthday, and so i'm hoping for good news. the husband told me to eat more, to make the little one grow, but trust me when i say i am.  i've already gained a good 15 pounds and you can totally tell (okay, maybe you can't, and i can) but it's all in my face and shoulders.

my favorite moment of the week was when i just finished up photographing an adorable one year old boy at my studio and came back up stairs to relax a bit after they left. Harlee immediately hopped on the couch and laid down next to me. she cuddled up next to the baby bump and started to snore away. for a couple minutes baby when a little crazy moving in my stomach, but it was so cute to see. i can't wait for the day that our little one is laying on top of Harlee, both passed out napping away. it's those type of moments i crave.

  1. Hopefully it's just that your due date is a little off. Carter had been measuring big and when he came 3 weeks early it kind of confirmed that our EDD was off! I'll be praying that baby is completely perfect in every way. If you need anything let me know.

Ps. Be as lazy as you want while prego ;)

  2. I didn't get consistent until about 20 weeks, but that's when you start to see a big difference anyway! Enjoy these lazy days. They're fleeting!

Hoping everything is okay and that baby is just a little one or your EDD is off.

  7. Dogs and babies are the most adorable thing ever! Harlee is going to be such a great big sis!
Don't stress about the baby! If it was a big concern, they wouldn't be waiting 4 weeks to see you again.

  9. Don't stress too much! My best friend's baby measured small and though she was a little peanut at birth, she was TOTALLY healthy :)
