Moving Up

So apparently it's been going around, with the newlyweds.

"House-Fever"

Or at least that's what I like to call it for my husband and I.  We have only been in our apartment since September of last year and we are itching to get out.

We really want an actual house, to call our own (whether it's rented or owned at this point, we don't care).  So he can finally get his "puppy".

An english mastiff. Yup you heard that right. I have some views I'd liked to share, but that's for another time and another post.

We have been looking online and realizing very quickly that the houses we like, we may not be even able to afford. That or else I really need to find a decent paying up that's full time. Let's hope for the second option, shall we?

But until then we'll continuously browse the world wide web in hopes of somehow finding a "home" to call ours.

Anyone else in the same boat?

  1. Buying a home is a lot of fun and it's also a lot of work! Even if you did find your 'dream home' or thought that it was dream home that you could afford you will always find things wrong and things differently. Plus online you may find pictures that you love, but walk in the house and be like no, no, this isn't it. To me... You should pick out several must have qualities and let some things go. When you walk in the house, it should feel like home and you would say... I could live here... Sigh... Good luck! It's a great adventure, but promise enjoy the apartment living as that will give you the most free time! I house will eat up your outdoor playing, shopping, money, and travel! However, a house will bring you a different kind of joy and accomplishment. xoxo A-

  2. I live in one of the most expensive areas in the country so buying a home at this point is just out of the question. We rent a tiny 1br apartment AND have a golden retriever and a kitty. I honestly couldn't imagine life any other way! It works for us, having a dog is just magical!

  5. We just got orders to Ft. Gordon, GA and we are anxiously looking at houses already. Even though we won't be there until late this summer.. oh well. :) I think we are going to rent though as we'd love to move back to KC after this military stuff is over.

  6. Yes, it would be so fun to have a house! Although maybe I'm just in love with the idea and not with all the extra costs and responsibility that comes along with it haha.
