Note For The Husband

Dear Husband,

Our one year anniversary is fast approaching (cough: Monday) and I know you are currently tied up playing with some really big guns and whatever else you do for Army training.

So I took the initiative and spent an entire afternoon at an antique mall searching for the best finds. Hope these ideas help to take the stress off your shoulders a bit.

Here's my favorites:

A rustic pair of white chairs, which would work beautifully in the dining room area.

This plate to add to our never-ending collection of Longhorn memorabilia.

And lastly, a girl can never have enough antique trunks. True story.

Muchas gracias.

In all honesty, the best anniversary gift I could get would be for you to just get home already, even if it will be after our actual anniversary date. The days are just dragging and I look forward to night where we snuggle up on the couch, catch up on episodes of "Lost" on Netflix, and we finally enjoy our wedding cake slice together.

Te amo husband.

  2. That's such a great idea to shop for yourself, and take pictures so it's a simple process for your husband to go back and buy them. I know if I leave gift up to my husband I'm usually a little dissapointed. And as a fellow Army wife, it's hard when they miss anniversaries but I suggest just picking a specific day when he's back and celebrating as if that day was your anniversary.
