truths about me...

The beautiful Meg at henning love had tagged me in a post asking to share a couple truths about myself. Meg and I have been following each other's pups on instagram for quite sometime. You can find me at @blacklittlebutton, if your interested.

+ I have an unhealthy obsession with ketchup. Not to the point that I will eat it straight out of the bottle, but I eat copious amounts on anything it should go with, and some things it shouldn't like: fish and steak (the husband hates that one).

+ I write too many "to-do" lists. I have them all over the house, in my car, in my purse, on my phone... I think I enjoy writing them, then I do crossing things off.

+ I talk to my dog like she's a human and can understand me. I love when she tilts her head to the side, as if she's trying to figure out what I'm saying. I give her way to many kisses on the forehead, at least 10 times a day. I'm so grateful she's in our lives.

+ I can be a little anti-social. Most days I would chose to head down to my craft room; put on some music and sew/scrapbook/draw, rather than go out and socialize. I am content in that way, and hate the feeling that I always need to be "talking" to others. I want to push myself to be more "out going" in person and not just on the web.

+ Ever since I can remember, I didn't know exactly what I wanted to be when I "grew-up" (whenever that day may be still). One thing, I knew for sure is that I wanted to be a "mom". I remember playing with dolls and stuffing pillows up our shirts pretending we were pregnant. Now that I've married a wonderful husband, and we have shared almost 2 years together...we both feel it's time. Just hoping my body jumps on that train now too.

+ I love Disney and have collected over 45 Classic Disney movies on VHS and watch them still on on my VHS player numerous times a month. This doesn't include my collection of DVD and blue-ray Disney movies too. Some things will never fade, in my mind, and I will always be a Disney kid at heart.

+ Each day, I am reminded just how lucky I am to have married a wonderful man. How every morning I wake up next to him. Just how much he does, cares and supports our little family. I couldn't be more proud of him, the job he does, and the men & women he serves with.

I'm tagging: Heather, Becca, Sarah, Stormy and Alison.

  1. all day long i talk to my dogs as though they understand exactly what i am saying to them other than the words they know food treat, walk, breakfast, dinner, sit, stay, you know the essential dog words. i can be a bit anti-social at times too and other times i just have to be with friends

  2. I'm a total 'lister' too. And I was exactly the same way with my girls. ... until the baby came. And then they took 2nd fiddle. And oh Disney. I work from home and you can often find me having 'Disney' days. I blast the music and sing with every song. It puts me in the best mood. Interesting facts Whitney!

  3. I think we would be friends in real life. I love ketchup and sometimes I eat burgers and fries just for the ketchup. Even in a burger has ketchup already on it, I still dip it in more ketchup. I also prefer staying at home alone or with my husband to having to socialize with others. And I'm in love with all things Disney. I call myself a Disney freak because I love it so much!
