This morning, at 4:00am the husband and I got up. He packed his things and I drove him to the airport before the sun rose in the sky. A little nervous and so excited, my husband walked into the terminal with some of the most brave and honorable men and women.
Nearly 900 WII veterans pass away every day nation wide. Most have not seen the memorials built in their honor.
Today he is a guardian for some of those veterans who finally get a chance to see the memorial in Washington D.C. They get to spend the day at the memorial and around the Nation's Capital and fly back later tonight.
This is such an incredible experience, and I'm so glad he had the opportunity to do this, with the Old Glory Honor Flight. I'm sure it's one he will never forget!
I can't wait to hear the stories and see all the photos he took.
