a 24 hour work weekend

So my weekend consisted of putting in 24 hours combined for both Saturday and Sunday at my part-time job. Hello extra paycheck, but Harlee wasn't too thrilled with being cooped up home alone all weekend. My photoshoot got postponed until tonight because it was only 50 sum degrees outside, and the little babes would have been so cold being outside.

But I did have an eventful week. A good college friend and I visited a local county fair. Oh how I've missed that barn smell, showing cows, and entering all my 4-H projects. Brought back some great memories.

I also signed up for The Colored Run happening in Green Bay in the next couple months. Can cross this one off my 30 before 30 list finally!

The husband has been a workout machine all this week! He has really put in alot of his extra time-off working out, running, swimming, you name it. I love that he has finally caved and gotten the Snap Chat app. Face Time is a regular occurrence for us too, thank god for iPhones. I'm quite spoiled "seeing him" every day.

And the week wouldn't be complete without a trip or two to the local thrift stores. There are literally three stores within walking distance from my house. So bad, but so good because I scored these two gems both for only $0.90 a piece. A cute little clock and a Nikon 35mm film camera. I was hesitant on buying it because it had quite alot of dust on it. I cleaned it up and put in new batteries, and it seems to work perfectly! I have a couple rolls of film on the way, I can't wait to see how they turn out.

Hope you bloggers had a quality weekend, here's hoping the week goes by fast for you as well.

  1. I have no idea how people can stand long distance without FaceTime. It certainly helped me when the husband was away!

Jealous of your thrift finds. I can never find anything when I go to thrift stores.

  2. A camera for 90 cents?! That's a HUGE score!! I wish we had good thrift stores here! All I've found so far is a Goodwill.. LOL
I love the app, Couple. If you don't have it already, you should check it out! It's like your own personal little marriage communication app. (:
