friday letters

Dear Olive Garden: your chicken gnocchi soup has been nothing less than amazing to me. i seriously could go there every day for dinner and just mow down on a ton of breadsticks and that soup. if only.

Dear Harlee: you have been quite needy the past week. i'm sorry but momma doesn't want you eating all of those berries off the tree in the backyard. so you'll just have to live with not going outside every 5 minutes. sorry babe. i'll live with your poutiness.

Dear Diapers: holy crap are you expensive. i'm starting to create a stockpile of them, but it's so hard to say until after our shower or when the baby comes what else i'll need.

Dear Husband: i miss you. i miss your cooking. i miss you laying next to me at night. there are a lot of things, but i really can't wait to see your face in less than two weeks.

Dear Neighbor across the wall: unforunately we share a "house" with another family and that one wall is the one in our master bedroom. for the past week i've been waking up to some serious snoring at 3 in the morning and unable to fall back alseep because that's all i hear. so i've reverted to the "white noise" station on pandora and headphones because even blaring the music, doesn't cover it over my ears. thank you (with a very good chuck of sarcasm) if it was my husband, i'd just wake him up and it stops, that i can't do. looks like the guest bedroom it is for me.

Dear Shopping: i'm excited to go out and do a little retail therapy. even though my mind will be focused on what the heck can i buy that i will still fit into in the next couple months and be able to wear after, it will still be fun.

  1. Diapers are expensive! Luckily as they get older you won't go through them as fast. :)

  3. I love shopping! I wish I could do it more often.
Oh diapers are so expensive! Don't stock up on just one size, you never know how long they will be in a certain size and you don't want to get stuck with a ton left over. I wouldn't get too many newborns, just in case. My daughter weighed 8lbs at birth and was in newborns for about 2 weeks. Just a suggestion :)
    p.s. I LOVE Olive Garden!

  4. That soup is my favorite! I actually made a copy cat version last week. Lasted less than two days and I made a double recipe. You can find great copy cat recipes on Pinterest :)

  6. That soup is AMAZINGGGGGGG.

Also re: diapers, since you asked for my opinion (no you did not), after using Huggies when our daughter still had her umbilical nub, we switched to Target diapers. They are REALLY good, don't have a weird smell (like Luvs) and are cheap in comparison to Huggeis/Pampers (unless you're a couponer and are getting them for free). Also- Target will let you return or exchange packs when you size up, no hassle! You might give them a try!

  8. I need to take J to the olive Garden, he has never been! Gasp. Yes diapers are expensive. I didn't buy to many before D was born. It's hard to know how many of each size...D is still in newborn.

  9. Diapers are so expensive. We've started using the Target brand. They're just as good as Pampers and not nearly as expensive.
