week fourteen

this week i hit the jackpot thrifting for baby goodies. one of my favorite children's books is Harold and the Purple Crayon, and when i was going through the thrift store that wednesday i couldn't help but see two more of that series. you bet i snatched them up, and for free too! because the store has color-coded tags and it was a buy one at 50% off and the next two items are free. it was meant to be, and those adorable white-washed overalls have been waiting around too. i couldn't believe it. i walked away feeling on top of the world, and only spending less than $2.00 for five baby clothes items, disney books, more children books, disney blocks and a plush baby toy.

later on that week, i started making cookies for my family's annual "cookie day". ginger bread cut outs, sea-salted caramel stuffed chocolate crinkle cookies, and peppermint kiss chocolate crinkle cookies. i was cookied out by the end of the day on saturday, but shared a ton of laughs with my aunts, grandma, great aunts and friends. now i have four filled containers of cookies sitting in my freezer just waiting for me to eat them all! :)

this week i had to break out my "fat" pants. these are the pants that used to fall off me when i really started to work out last year, and for some reason i saved them. well now my normal pants have been stuffed away down stairs, and the bad boys have come to fit me now. it's quite sad, but my gosh do my hips seem so much wider, it's crazy when i look at myself in the mirror. it's that or all that fatty (delicious) breakfast sandwiches i ate for the last two months straight have actually gone to my hips. i'm thinking it's a combination of both.

hello to a growing baby bump, that is finally making it's way outward
