week twenty eight

this is the week where everyone, including my husband over FaceTime said i finally "popped". hello baby belly! there is no hiding you now. and hello to third trimester! crazy to think that in less than 12 weeks, baby will be here. in my arms.

i'm thankful for the bigger belly because hopefully that means little baby is growing! i'll know for sure more tomorrow when i have another intensive fetal ultrasound. we are hoping to hear some good news.

this week was a very low-key one, which was just what i needed. it was nice to come home and relax and not have to worry about this that or the other thing.

we started to order some of the big ticket items already for baby, i just couldn't wait. i want them here and set up already. so with some of the baby gift cards we received, we purchased these two things: play pen & rock n' play. there was one night where i set up the pack n' play all by myself and afterwards i was so exhausted, i went to bed at 7:30 that night. no lie. i got over 12 hours of sleep. it was fantastic.

i also joined the local gym and scheduled myself up for a couple yoga classes, including a water yoga class. i'm hoping it gets my butt back up and moving. i've been so lazy the past twenty eight weeks onward. it's ridiculous.

right now i'm praying that this negative degree weather in wisconsin will soon disappear. the reason being is that my winter jacket, with my number of layers is getting harder and harder every day to zip up over this growing belly. i crave that "warm" 30 degree weather where all this white stuff finally melts and is gone until the end of this year. i want to be outside, walking harlee with her new harness. i think we both are in need of some warm fresh air in our lungs. come on spring time. please don't wait until after baby is here for that to happen.

  1. I love it...You have"Popped", Its so crazy how we are totally in the same place. Everyone at work said the last few days "goodness you actually look pregnant now" I am also not able to fit in my winter coat with a sweatshirt on underneath. I am with you girl that the -15 temps and snow need to leave soon! Dang Iowa weather here! Prayers for good news on the ultra sound! and totally jealous that you are getting some big things bought and set up! Have a great week!

  10. Hope you hear nothing but good news at your ultrasound! Love your baby belly. Mine was more of an all-around belly, but apparently that's what happens when you love pizza and hate exercise. ;)

  12. I literally catch myself thinking multiple times a day, "I just want some fresh air that doesn't hurt my face/lungs and to go on a walk!" Here's to hoping Spring gets here soon! I still can't get over how much you've popped, you look so good!
