it's beginning to look a lot like

honestly. i have the christmas decorations up, the stores are playing christmas music, and i have started to make my cookies for my family's annual cookie exchange. this year my husband made the request of his favorite cookies to share with my loved ones: butterscotch oatmeal. i made 4 batches, way more than i needed to, but let's say there is about two huge ziplock bags on their way overseas this week, as a result. as much as i am not the biggest fan of christmas, this year i have a different outlook. making sure my little man enjoys each and every holiday, even though i'm sure he won't remember a thing. i'll have pictures to show him later on in life. bring it on christmas, we are ready for you! and those cookies? ugh. bring on the extra gym time.

  2. We are so ready for Christmas over here, too. I love this season. From October through January, so many special moments & memories are made. Cash loves looking at the Christmas stuff at the store every.single.time. & I don't mind one bit. Holidays are so much more special when seeing them through the eyes of your child. Beau will have a wonderful first Christmas!

  5. Yum! I wish I could find people to do this with. I'm always the one who ends up baking a ton around the holidays (because I LOVE it) but then I never get any cookies in return. I'd like some of the holiday love too people! ;)

  8. Love this! I've been very "bah humbug" about Christmas over the last few years, but there's something about it this year (sharing it with kiddos) that has made it exciting for me again. Mac didn't really get it last year (and I was miserable in my first trimester), so we didn't do much. This year though, I'm pretty pumped! :) Bring it on, Santa!
