week five

this week has been a whirlwind and has left this momma feeling too overwhelmed. with everything from how to handle Tri-care insurance on a non-base hospital, to stock piling diapers, to traveling for holidays and just about everything in between. how am i going to make this work, without little to no actual physical help from the husband?

not to say that it wasn't a bad week because just last week we found out, i flew down to Oklahoma to surprise the husband, and i had my first encounter of intense smells. let's just say the security check-ins in airports smell like a mix of very bad feet and throw-up. lead me running to the baggage claim. pronto. and subway restaurants never smelt more intense and fresh!

this momma doesn't have much symptoms besides a constant mild cramping and the urge to always curl up in the corner to take a nap. a little queasiness off and on, but not enough as others seem to make it out to be. but i'm sure i've just started and i've got a couple weeks to catch up. as we try to figure out how we are going to tell our family and friends, mid-October can't come soon enough. to ease my mind and know that everything for baby is going okay and i can do anything in my power to make it the best i can for our little one.

there isn't much of a "bump" just left over "oh hey you haven't worked out in over a year pooch", but it does look pretty deceiving though right? our first appointment is booked for October 14th, and the husband luckily has a four-day that weekend and will be flying up to come with. i am so glad because i don't know if i could do the first appointment alone. praying that everything is fine and we'll be able to see a sonogram of our little one.

i would be just about 9 weeks. now that's a crazy thought, in itself.

  1. Love that picture! If you do get worse morning sickness, I don't know if they have this where you live but try the candy Lemon drops. That was the only thing that helped my sister out with her first, and she was terribly sick throughout almost the whole nine months. Hope your appointment went well!
